Joseph L Hall is an adventure and horror writer. He grew up in the Roanoke Valley where he cultivated his love for horror movies, novels and comic books at a very young age. Enamored with the work of inspirational masters such as Stephen King, George Romero, and Tom Defalco, he soon began writing his own comic books and scary stories, filling countless notebooks and jotting on any piece of paper within his grasp.

Upon graduation from high school, Joseph entered the retail and restaurant industry where he remained for the better part of two decades. While he still wrote stories, his dreams of writing professionally seemed to slip further and further away. Upon the birth of his son, his world changed and he made the decision to return to school. He attended Full Sail University where he earned a bachelor of fine arts degree in Creative Writing for Entertainment.

Joseph self-published his first book "The Cellar and other Short Stories" in early 2015 and is planning to release another compilation of short stories titled "Hard Truths" in 2017. His first full-length novel, "Monsters of Heaven," will be available in the near future.  It is the tale of an ex-con seeking redemption as he attempts to lead his son and a group of survivors to safety when giant spiders descend on the vacation resort.

When he isn't writing, Joseph can be found battling the forces of darkness on endless adventures with his son, Juda, or spending time with his best friend and wife, Stephanie. Otherwise, he is playing more video games than one could possibly imagine.
